Her Canberra Clothes Swap

On a return to events from the COVID-19 pandemic, HerCanberra recognised the need for increased support for a Karinya House, a local charity supporting women and children here in the Capital.

Armed with ideas and amazing partners in HerCanberra, Damsel and Sprout created the HerCanberra Sustainable Clothes Swap which saw many fashionable local women donate pre-loved items of clothing and join us for a night of swapping, chatting, delicious food, fun tunes, live Q&A’s and sustainability — all in the name of charity!

When HerCanberra decided to host a Clothes Swap fundraiser event, we knew the only company we could count on to deliver on the vision of our event was Damsel & Sprout. Having worked with Ashleigh, Craig, and Giorgi on numerous projects in the past and watched them deliver work to an exceptional standard every time, we knew no detail would be forgotten, and no stone unturned to achieve perfection. We were right.

The Damsel & Sprout team worked tirelessly to knit together the diverse elements of our clothes swap concept in a way that made for an effortless evening for us as organisers. From sourcing and installing big-ticket items like physical infrastructure, AV, and sound to connecting us with quality suppliers and vendors and even getting creative with tiny details like the decals we stuck on mirrors, their commitment to delivering our vision was innovative and seamless.

From the mood boards and concepts, the team mocked up in our initial planning meetings, to always being available to discuss details in the lead-up and being on the ground all day at the event, communication was consistent and constant and we always felt in the loop. Thanks to Damsel & Sprout we were able to deliver an exceptional event for our readers and followers and raise funds for Karinya House’s vital work in the process.

We can’t wait to work with them again in the future.
