Club Lime Lounge Skyfire
A tropical island on the shore of Lake Burley Griffin, with a front-row seat to Canberra’s biggest night in the sky
Skyfire brings more than 100,000 people to the lake every March for an evening of aerobatics, RAAF flyovers and fireworks. For Club Lime, it was the perfect stage for a brand activation, with one twist: the lounge was strictly invite only. While the crowds packed the foreshore, Club Lime members and radio competition winners had their own private slice of it.
Damsel and Sprout took over The Jetty, an established venue on the water, and transformed it into the Club Lime Lounge: new furniture throughout, new signage, upgraded AV, custom pop-up bars, and a tropical build of palm, florals, greenery and neon, running from a red carpet arrival in the afternoon sun through to a packed dance floor under the fireworks.

One venue in, 100,000 people out
The tension is what made it work: Canberra’s biggest public event on one side of the fence, and on the other, an invite-only tropical escape. We transformed The Jetty completely, new furniture, new signage, upgraded AV and custom-built bars, so that regulars of the venue would barely have recognised it.
Overhead, trailing greenery, flowers, festoon and wicker pendants, with real lemons and limes tucked through the foliage. Guests arrived under a truss-mounted neon sign, down a red carpet, into a room glowing green from the tables up.
The Coconut Bar
The signature moment of the lounge: cocktails served in fresh coconuts stamped with the Club Lime mark, poured beneath a neon Coconut Bar sign and a wall of tropical greenery. Alongside it ran a full curated bar, from local tinnies and tap beer to a cocktail and wine list, with bowls of fresh limes doing double duty as garnish and brand statement.
A show in the sky, a party on the ground
Skyfire’s program set the scene for the Jetty to shine.. Guests watched fighter jets and aerobatic displays roar overhead through the afternoon, then turned back to the venue to celebrate with a VDJ, live performance and a glowing green dance floor as night fell. When the fireworks finally lit up the lake, the lounge had the best seats of the 100,000 on the shore.
Built to be photographed
Guests were kitted out on arrival from a custom merch wall: glowing cowboy hats, light-up sunglasses and tote bags, all in Club Lime green.
For a brand activation, every photo is an impression, so the lounge was designed to make every shot carry the Club Lime mark. By the end of the night, there were thousands of them, and even the police on duty along the waterfront were watching the fireworks in glowing green shades.
