AIS Olympic & Paralympic Watch Parties
Damsel and Sprout were proud to partner with the Australian Sports Commission (ASC) to deliver the first major public events in the newly refurbished AIS Arena, officially reopening the venue with a high-energy celebration of sport, community, and national pride.
The Olympic and Paralympic Watch Parties welcomed over 3,000 attendees, transforming the Arena into an inclusive, interactive LIVE Site and connecting Canberra locals to the global excitement of Paris 2024.
Working hand-in-hand with the ASC, our team designed a seamless, family-focused experience that brought live Olympic coverage together with community engagement and playful exploration. A 16-metre screen delivered the Games action in spectacular scale, while visitors of all ages enjoyed a jam-packed program of activities—including face painting, giveaways, and hands-on trials of sports like football, basketball, hockey, wheelchair rugby league, and bocce. Guests also explored Sportex, the ASC’s dynamic interactive exhibit, and joined in a lively quiz hosted by the French Embassy. Both days were full of celebration, connection, and inspiration for the next generation of Aussie athletes, at the home of Aussie sport!
