When Netflix came to us to launch the much-anticipated Kylie Minogue documentary, the brief was clear: create a space that felt like Kylie. Not just branded, beautiful. We brought that vision to life at Parliament House, Canberra, hosting an exclusive preview screening for notable politicians and guests ahead of the documentary’s national release.

The evening was designed from the ground up to be an experience, not just an event — every detail considered, every touchpoint intentional.

Designing for an icon

There’s a particular kind of responsibility that comes with an event like this, the subject is beloved, the venue is storied, and the audience is discerning. Every creative decision had to earn its place.

A feature photo wall guests couldn’t walk past
The centrepiece of the space was a custom photo wall combining Netflix branding with a two-metre installation of fresh flowers, a nod to Kylie’s signature sense of femininity and glamour. It became the natural gathering point of the evening, and every guest found their way to it.

Guests were welcomed with a drink in hand, Kylie Minogue’s own wine label served from a dedicated Netflix bar. A small detail that landed perfectly, tying the subject of the evening seamlessly into the guest experience from the very first moment.

Flowers to take home
As guests departed, the flowers from the installation were gifted to them, a considered touch that gave the evening a warm send-off and ensured the experience didn’t end at the door.
