Windows to the World

Windows to the World - Tour the world without the long-haul flight.

Windows to the World offers the rare chance to step on to the grounds of the High Commissions and Embassies in the Nation’s Capital.

This year, Yarralumla, Deakin, and O’Malley opened their doors to the public with a variety of fun-filled cultural experiences. Showcasing everything from mobile phone throwing and Hän carrying, to henna painting and cultural artefacts.

With over 35,000 people attending, and around 30 embassies participating, the day was jam packed with an array of colours, food and culture, all within renowned buildings with unique gardens and iconic architecture.
Damsel and Sprout were engaged as the event producers and delivery providers to implement the strategy, logistics, ticketing, volunteer coordination and all stakeholder engagement with each Embassy and High Commission. A return trip (minus the long-haul flight) to visit one world, with many cultures.

I highly recommend Damsel & Sprout for your next event. As a provider of security services for major events in the ACT we have had the pleasure of working alongside Damsel & Sprout on several events. Craig, Ash, and the Damsel & Sprout team have fantastic attention to detail and exceptional event management skills. Not only that, but they all also have a strategic focus and are great at looking at the bigger picture and providing ideas to boost the outcome and special excitement surrounding your events. Damsel & Sprout are creative, respectful, and a joy to work with. I highly recommend this team for your next event.

Windows to the World is by far our biggest public diplomacy event of the year. It’s a great way to showcase Finland to a much wider and more diverse audience. For us, it’s quite a significant undertaking that requires a lot of planning and resources. However, Damsel and Sprout make this challenge easier by taking care of so much of the practical and logistical arrangements. Despite the rain, 2022 was a huge success and we’re already looking forward to the next one!

On behalf of the Embassy of Peru, thank you so much for giving us this amazing opportunity and for the support during this whole process. Your work and organization was truly amazing. Happy to participate in any other endeavour for Damsel and Sprout.
