The Canberra Day Appeal Fun Run brings thousands of Canberrans to Lennox Gardens on the Canberra Day long weekend, from serious club runners to families with prams and dogs. 

From course design to precinct build, program delivery to the finer logistics, Damsel and Sprout manages every element of the event so the community can simply show up and enjoy it. Selling out in its second year, the event is building something special for the community, and the best is still to come

A whole-of-city morning

Run events look simple from the start line, and that is exactly the point. Behind it sit road closures, marshal rosters, timing systems, first aid coordination, stage programs, and a precinct built to fuel thousands of people with breakfast-time energy in a public park, as Canberra kicks off its biggest day of celebrations.

The lakeside setting does the marketing for us: a course along Lake Burley Griffin with the city waking up across the water, and a finish-line precinct in the gardens with music, food and the buzz of a community that turned up early on a public holiday to do something good together.
