The brief?

Damsel and Sprout were appointed by the Norwegian Ambassador to deliver the Norwegian National Day.
May 17th, in Norway, is a day of celebration. This year the Norwegian Ambassador wanted to hold a celebration event at her residence for the Norwegian and broader Scandinavian community in Canberra.

The event started with a parade up the main street, led by a fiddler, with both adults and children in their traditional dress.

After some games with the children, the Ambassador welcomed everyone, and the night began. Traditional Norwegian foods, music and dancing, children’s entertainment and of course a huge part of the celebration, cake, and lots of it.

We are writing to thank you for your hard work and collaboration with the Norwegian Embassy in making our events great successes. Our 17 May National Day celebration was so well received by the community. Your meticulous planning and attention to detail made it one of the most successful celebrations we have had in Canberra.

It was the first time we have held one of these events on a such a scale and you made it seem so simple. Having Ash there throughout the event and keeping and eye on everything to ensure nothing was missed, & Craig and their team worked tirelessly for the set up and pack down.

It was an absolute please working with you on our events and we really look forward to working with you both again.
