Damsel & Sprout worked with the Justice & Community Safety Directorate to produce their 2-day “Building Communities Not Prisons Forum”

The client wanted a forum that was different from the boring and stuff ones they had attended themselves. For that reason, we used the Pialligo Estate glasshouse and pavilions to host the forum.

We arranged travel for speakers from around the world, with some of the top experts in the field being flown in from as far as Texas.

For the speakers that were not able to attend, we used live streaming facilities to bring them into the room.

The client is also environmentally focused, so instead of printing hundreds of flyers,  all speaker bios, schedules, accommodation and flight details, Q&A even ordering an UBER was done through a custom built app we produced for the event.

As the event was a closed event, we managed all the invitations and responses, including arranging an accommodation rate at the Vibe hotel for all travelling guest for the forum.

The 2 day event was a huge success with media from all stations in attendance and Minister Shane Rattenbury choosing this event to make some key announcements in regards to the way the justice system will be run.
