The brief?

To create an event in Braddon to engage the local residents and businesses.
The City Renewal Authority and Co-Design Studio are putting together a place plan for Braddon. To be able to put together an in-depth schedule of events and upgrade to amenities in the Braddon area, they first had to consult with the Braddon locals and the people that use the area.

The event was held in the courtyard of the Nibu x Palko building, we engaged local musicians, Sorel Nation & Sophie Edwards, to play on the day. With ample heating, some creatively placed lighting and giant light up HELLO letters, we were able to create an inviting atmosphere for the event.

Local brewery Bentspoke joined us on the day to provide a sample of their award-winning beers. We also arrange a number of local Braddon businesses to supply a sample of their food, which we then created a “Taste Braddon” grazing table. This was definitely a key talking point and put the food of these businesses into the hands of people that had not tried their products before.

Poyo Studio was engaged to turn peoples ideas into images as the day progressed. Receiving over 200 ideas for the local area, we look forward to being a part of Braddons future.
